Inside-out

This thobe was my wedding dress. I wear it inside-out, for the first time in years, to mark my grief, to end a long period of mourning. The beads that adorn the front of my thobe felt like thorns scratching away at my body as I wore it. A physical reminder of the pain I‘ve lived through. Today I reclaim my thobe.
